Somebody wasn't adapted for the NDIS community. It was built for it.
People with disability experience disproportionately high rates of loneliness and social isolation. It's documented, and it's rarely addressed directly. Somebody treats dating and friendship as equally valid outcomes — nobody here is a consolation prize for not finding the other.
Most dating apps treat disability as a filter tag. Verification is often symbolic. Safety is usually reactive, arriving only after something's gone wrong.
We do three things differently. We check every profile's identity — a photo ID, NDIS plan, Centrelink DSP letter, or Companion Card — for apparent authenticity and a name match, reviewed by a team member or our AI usually within 24 hours, before it goes live. This confirms real people, not disability status — being part of the NDIS/disability community is self-identified, matching standard sector practice. This is a document check, not a live check against any government database. We keep photos hidden until both people match, not just tucked behind a setting. And every report goes to a person on our team, reviewed within 48 hours.
